No ordinary store launch – but M.J. Bale is no ordinary store
M.J. Bale, Sydney’s newest luxury menswear label, launched their flagship Menswear store in Woollahra and more gorgeous men turned up than has been seen around this town together for some time.
Bondi Rescue boys and the Waratah’s Wycliff Palu and Phil Waugh scrummed in with the likes of Tom Williams, Tim Ross and Aaron Jeffrey. Zoe Naylor and Lizzy Lovette headed up the much lesser numbers of gals at this do. Yep – and they even had a meat raffle supplied by Victor Churchill and a ‘most creative use of a tie’ prize with guests getting to keep the ties. In the back room there was a silent auction happening in aid of the Black Dog Foundation which raised $2.500.
The Kevin Ho designed interior downstairs was a (well suited) shoulder to shoulder sea of blokes as Matt Jensen’s menswear designs were checked over and glasses bubbled with yum G.H. Mumm, Villa Maria and Kronenbourg.
Upstairs in the ‘boy bar’ with its black and white jazz photography covered walls, everyone was settling in under the glow of the plentiful Jameson Whiskey on offer. ‘Finish’ time came and went as the party continued with no-one in a hurry to leave. All quite a different scene from the usual store opening.
