Opera Stars of the future are on a good foundation
The Opera Foundation Australia Patron Program helps provide scholarships, awards and continuous mentoring of Australia’s young operatic talents.

The Opera Foundation Australia, Membership and Patron Program was launched for 2010 at the fabulous marble paved Paspaley store in Sydney.  This gathering was a cultural oasis on a night when many minds elsewhere were focused on football (round ball style) or on matters political (coup style).

Although guests were jokingly informed that there is no such thing as a ‘free aria’ we were treated to some tremendous singing from the Foundation’s previous winners Amelia Farrugia and David Parkin. 

Over sipped Moet and tasty canapés the enthusiasm of both the Patrons and the upcoming operatic stars, who are the beneficiaries of the Foundation’s activities, was both palpable and refreshing.
